It is a very special job being a florist as we get the pleasure of taking part in the large moments of everyones life. From births, recitals, graduations, birthdays, first dates, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, retirements and funerals. No matter the reason we recognize the importance of what we do and strive to make it beautiful and stress free.
Meet the Team
Christine and Ian Kaufmann - Owners
Christine and Ian opened in Banff Mountaintop Flowers in 2018 and are dedicated to making your floral wishes come true. Both are born and raised in Banff and know the ins and outs of the town. No matter your question, chances are they can help you! Christine has worked as a florist here in Banff since 2010 and has learned a great deal about the business and the industry. She is also a realist painter and has an eye for details, her artistic knowledge and flair can be felt throughout the shop and in each bouquet and arrangement! Not to mention all of our note cards provided with the flowers are of paintings she created. Ian has been working in the shop since 2017 and loves to create with colour. A photographer and music lover he has a true eye for composition, shape and colour. Together with their sons and their dog Finn, if they are not busy in the shop, then they are out and about in this amazing mountain town.
Jenni - Jenni has joined us all the way from Germany and is now putting down her roots here in our beautiful mountain town. She has been working in the flower world since 2018 and has found a great passion with creating with flowers. Jenni loves designing wild, earthy designs and is always up for a challenge, the bigger the better! Before finding flowers, Jenni was working in museums and is no stranger to all art forms, she quickly realized that she’d rather be a creator of it and we’re lucky to have her artist eye in our shop! Jenni is a beautiful spirit with a hearty, joyful laugh you can’t help but join in on. She’s the first to jump to help anyone and offer her assistance in anyway she can and will go out of her way to make sure it’s done right. We don’t know how we’d do any of what we do without her!
Amy - Amy has joined us from England and has been working with us since 2022. In England Amy was working in levels of government and councils, but the travel bug bit and now her and her partner are off on adventure here in Canada. She was new to the world of flowers but was a total natural, as she is always eager to try any form of creating, from pottery to jewellery. She is a true artist and is constantly designing some of our most beautiful pieces! Amy has already found her style and loves to create garden inspired, colourful and wild designs. She is oh so witty and clever, but you gotta listen closely to catch it! We love having her calm but eager energy in the shop, she is always ready to help out and encourage us to take on any challenge.
Lily - Lily has joined us from Australia and while new to the world of flowers, she’s a total natural and eager to learn! Before moving to Canada she was going to school for business and accounting, but a future of numbers and taxes filled her head with dreams of adventure and before she knew it her bags were packed and she found herself in Banff. Lily was always passionate about arts and creating and is finding her creative voice with flowers. Her knowledge and attention to colour and form is evident in everything she creates, and we love seeing her bright and happy designs!
